Bang Bang (PS. Yes, I'm back)
I know. My first post of 2013 and I'm a month late...shame on me. Hopefully you all will forgive me after I share this amazing cover with you.
I've recently discovered R&B artist, Phlo Finister thanks to this NPR article I read entitled "6 Women At The Cutting Edge of R&B"(check it out: NPR). She has a few EPs out and released a full length album last year called "Silver Hill."
On her first EP "Crown Gold", she does a cover of one of my favorite songs ever, Nancy Sinatra's "Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down). Now, that song is brilliant as is, but Phlo gives it this dope R&B vibe with a sample of Mobb Deep's Shook Ones Pt. II. LOVE!
