And on that line up I had Fitz & The Tantrums, Aloe Blacc, Mayer Hawthorne, Daniel Merriweather, Paolo Nutini, Jamie Lidell, Eli "Paperboy" Reed, Sharon Jones & The Dap Kings, Joss Stone, Rapheal Saadiq, ADELE and I had the late Amy Winehouse closing the show. If they're good enough for Mr. West & Hova to use then they must be legit. The duo sampled some tracks from this 1970s British rock band on their "Watch The Throne" album and once I heard the original versions, I fell in love! (and of course I had to buy their greatest hits)

It's taken nearly four years but RED TAILS finally has a release date...and I couldn't be happier! With an amazing cast including Cuba Gooding Jr., Terrance Howard, David Oyelowo, Nate Parker, Tristan Wilds, Michael B. Jordan (love him) & Bryan Cranston, written and executive produced by "The" George Lucas, this film about the first African American pilots to fly in combat during WWII looks promising. Can't wait!! 

Also, kudos to Mr. Lucas for supporting aspiring filmmakers. This is director Anthony Hemingway's first feature film :)

Seriously Ryan, What can't you do?

I mean, first you're this sweet kid who just wants to play football in "Remember The Titans", then you stole my heart as Noah in "The Notebook", then you got all serious on me and really showed your acting chops in "Half Nelson", next you're this innocent "man child" who's in love with a blow up doll in [the very underrated] "Lars and the Real Girl", then you show up like 3 years later in what I think is one of the best roles of your career in "Blue Valentine", now you're freakin' too HOT for words, showing off in "Crazy, Stupid, Love.", and if that wasn't enough, here you are now being a total badass in this new movie DRIVE. I mean really Ryan, I can't handle this!! Enough already.

She will always be Mona Lisa Vito to me

Marisa Tomei is one of my faves and I absolutely adored her in CRAZY, STUPID, LOVE. 

But let's not forget one of her most memorable characters and quite possibly one of the BEST characters in movie history, Mona Lisa Vito! Marisa went on to win an Academy Award in 1993 for her performance as Ms. Vito in the comedy "My Cousin Vinny." The movie was sweet but it was the sassy, fast talking Italian New Yorker Ms. Vito who kills every scene she's in. And not to mention, her wardrobe is to die for!
